From 20–22 November 2026, George Hay Park transforms into a sparkling Christmas wonderland for one of Johannesburg’s most-loved community events: the Parkview Christmas Market.

​

For three magical days, the park comes alive with twinkling lights, incredible food, hand-picked stalls, live music, kids running wild, friends catching up over a drink, families making memories and that unmistakable feeling that Christmas has officially arrived.

Come hungry. Come ready to shop. Bring the kids, bring your friends, bring the grandparents - even bring the dog! 🐾

🍴 EAT YOUR WAY AROUND THE MARKET
Follow the smell! Our food court is packed with incredible flavours, from street-food favourites and comfort food to sweet treats, festive indulgences and, of course, Nicarela's famous pancakes. Grab something delicious, find a spot on the grass and settle in.

🛍️ SHOP LOCAL. GIFT BEAUTIFULLY.
Discover more than 80 carefully selected stalls filled with local makers, designers and creators. Think fashion, jewellery, homeware, children's gifts, Christmas goodies, accessories and those wonderful little finds you didn't know you needed.

Fair warning: "I'm just having a look" rarely works here. 😉

🎶 LIVE MUSIC & ENTERTAINMENT ALL WEEKEND
The soundtrack to your Christmas weekend is sorted. From local artists and acoustic performers to jazz, school bands and community favourites, there'll be music filling the park throughout the weekend.

🎈 BIG FUN FOR LITTLE PEOPLE
The Kids Zone is a world of its own, packed with activities designed to keep little hands busy and big imaginations happy.

Expect inflatables, arts and crafts, messy and sensory play, face painting, magic shows, sand art, games, treats and plenty more surprises along the way.

And as the weekend unfolds, look out for extra special experiences — including Friday-night fun for our teenagers and our much-loved Christmas movie under the stars on Saturday night. 🎬✨

🌙 AND THEN THE SUN GOES DOWN…

This might just be our favourite part.

The lights begin to twinkle through the trees. The music carries across the park. Friends gather around tables, children race past clutching their latest treasures, glasses clink and George Hay Park takes on that beautiful Christmas glow.

It's warm. It's joyful. It's a little bit magical.
